Options
(Advanced Tab)
The Options feature, found under the Tools menu, allows you to customize certain
elements of the VersaCheck program.
By leaving the "Print * before check amount" box checked, checks will print with a row of asterisks before the check amount as an added security measure. You may uncheck the box to remove the asterisks before the check amount if you wish.
The Advanced Tab will also allow you to open the dialog box for setting up connection through a proxy server or a secure proxy server. If you are not connected to a local network and/or are using a modem for your Internet connection, then you are probably not using a proxy server.
The Maximum amount of time to wait for a server response option will allow you to set how long, in minutes, the program should continue to attempt a connection to the server before timing out. (If the connection is not successful this will keep the program from freezing up because it is continuing to attempt a failed connection.)
