The HP M404MX lets you print bank compliant checks and documents with bank compliant Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) cartridges.

With a 40ppm print speed, 80,000 page monthly duty cycle, auto-duplexing, and a bank compliant MICR toner cartridge this unit performs nicely at a sub $650 price point.
Standard paper capacity is 350 sheets using a fully enclosed 250-sheet Letter/Legal/Universal tray and a 100-sheet multipurpose tray.
The M404MX can be outfitted to hold up to 900 sheets with an optional 550-sheet 2nd paper tray.
In terms of durability, M404MX printers are tough - with a monthly duty cycle of 80,000 pages. Fit for any work environment. M404MX printers, with their compact size, stylish lines fit just about anywhere and have PCL® 5, PCL 6 and postscript level 3 emulation.
